Anterior cruciate ligament injury with field hockey

Pauline talks about her anterior cruciate ligament injury and rehabilitation in a monthly blog.

My name is Pauline and I am 24 years old. On September 22, 2022, I tore my anterior cruciate ligament. Since a young age I have been playing field hockey fanatically. To get fit again I am going to train hard in the upcoming period and make the muscles around my knee strong. My goal is to enjoy playing field hockey again. Over the next few months I will take you through my rehabilitation before and after surgery through this blog. I see writing this blog for myself as an exercise and a way to consciously reflect on how things are going and something I hope I can enjoy reading back later. But most of all, I hope it will be interesting, both for fellow sufferers and others, to get a picture of rehabilitation after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
